Shell Of Servitude

I watch from afar,
And wonder what I did.
Seeing you like this.
Hurt.
Lost in a body of evil.
Buried deep is the man I love.
Only time will see him
Rise from within a blackened heart,
A striking shell of servitude.

Was I right?
To sacrifice our children for you?
Give them this duty to fulfil,
Combat and defeat evil?
I was a weakened girl,
My heart heavy with guilt.
You lost your way,
And I can't defeat what you are,

Only our Son can do that.
This started out as a Vader poem and ended up a Padmé and Vader poem. The whole point of this is to show Padmé's place in the original trilogy an at the same time her own thoughts and emotions on what has happened as a result.
